R.R. Donnelley Lakeside Press 1970 Facsimile of Dunlap’s Declaration of Independence
[2nd similar item in the auction; see also lot 178.]
This reproduction is widely considered the most precise replica of the original first printing of the Declaration of Independence by John Dunlap.
Notation on the back:
Facsimile, Reproduced by R.R. Donnelly & Sons Company, The Lakeside Press, from the original owned by Ira G. Corn, Jr. and Joseph P. Driscoll.
This print has die-cut edges to replicate the tiny nicks on the original, and printed creases. Beyond that, condition of this item includes a modern abrasion on the right side, a 1/2" tear at the top, small creases on the sides, and two scuffed corners. Please see photos for details.
