1887 Silver-Plated Hot Water Urn by Meriden B. Company.

Meriden Brittania Company, of Meriden, Connecticut.

A lovely urn or samovar for dispensing hot water or tea/coffee, with a place for a tealight or burner underneath. Ornate details including figural handles and feet, celluloid spigot knob, and engraving on both sides. The back is monogrammed JRG.

15" tall.

Marked: Meriden B. Company with scales logo, dated 1887.

The lot includes written provenance from the seller, including information that this piece is one of only four known to exist.
